We merge literature, ideas, technology, people and architecture with social life. It engages authors, experts, artists and thousands of readers in various activities, such as public readings, discussions, performances, city games, urban tours, spectacles. Since 2013 we hosted meetings with dozens of both established and upcoming authors.īig Book Festival is an innovative urban event taking place yearly on a summer weekend in Warsaw. Throughout the last decade we’ve had the joy of welcoming great authors from 40 countries, among many greats: Zadie Smith, Svetlana Alexievich, Annie Proulx, Hanif Kureishi, Karl Ove Knausgård, David Grossman, Elias Khoury, Boris Akunin. Our aim is to build excitement for both authors and readers. We put literature on stage, adapt it for performances and spectacles.
